With Equity Pulse, I wanted to capture the dynamic tension and rhythmic energy that courses through modern financial landscapes and valuation structures. Working with oil on board at a 12″ x 16″ scale, I layered heavy, tactile applications of pigment to mirror the volatile, fast-moving fluctuations of markets and capital.
The composition relies on a bold interplay of sharp, structured gestures and vibrant chromatic collisions. Deep blacks and electric blues anchor the surface, while aggressive strokes of crimson red and luminous yellow cut through the field, symbolizing the heartbeat of risk, growth, and liquidity. Every scraped layer and impasto mark represents a distinct data point, translating complex economic momentum into a visceral, expressive abstract language.
