The Bleeding Sky captures a visceral convergence of raw emotion and apocalyptic tension, rendered through aggressive, sweeping strokes of rich oil paint. In this 16″x20″ canvas, I wanted to evoke that breathless moment right before everything shifts—a turbulent landscape where the boundaries between the earth and the heavens completely dissolve.
Heavy, molten application of brilliant reds bleeds downward over stark whites and blinding yellows, suggesting a sky unravelling under its own weight. Below this fierce atmospheric pressure, restless layers of deep greens and oceanic blues anchor the composition, grounding the chaos with an underlying sense of subterranean depth. Every knife stroke and thick impasto layer was driven by an urgency to translate the feeling of a world standing at the edge of transformation—raw, unfiltered, and intensely alive.
