With Echoes of the Deep Mind, I wanted to explore the resonance of thoughts and memories that reverberate quietly beneath the surface of everyday awareness.
The composition anchors itself in deep navy and dark forest greens, contrasted sharply by sweeping arcs of vibrant red, sunny yellow, and soft pink. Loop-like, gestural strokes of pale turquoise curve through the left side, acting like recurring signals or echoes rising up from the subconscious into the light.
Working in oil on canvas, the woven texture of the fabric grips the thick impasto layers, giving the surface a dimensional, tactile weight. Echoes of the Deep Mind is about tracing those internal currents and finding structure within the depths of our inner thoughts.
