Energized

In my piece Energized, I wanted to translate the invisible friction and kinetic flow of our daily lives into a physical, visual experience. Unlike the heavy anchors of my previous works, this painting breathes through a lighter, more luminous palette of pale yellows, soft peaches, and airy creams that serve as a high-energy backdrop for the “paths” themselves. I’ve utilized long, rhythmic ribbons of bold red and cerulean blue to cut through the space, creating a sense of rapid, sweeping movement that never quite sits still.

As I worked the oil across this large canvas, I focused on the concept of momentum—how different trajectories overlap, collide, and eventually harmonize. You can see this in the way the sharp, angular red strokes intersect with the softer, sweeping green and yellow gestures, mimicking the way our own personal journeys cross paths with others. The thinner, more delicate lines weaving throughout the composition act as the nervous system of the piece, providing a subtle structural map that guides the eye from the dense activity at the bottom toward the expansive, light-filled upper regions. Ultimately, I view this work as a celebration of forward motion and the vibrant, messy, and beautiful complexity of being in constant transition.
