Event Horizon

With ‘Event Horizon’, I wanted to capture the chaotic yet mesmerizing boundary of deep space where light and matter collide under extreme gravitational forces. I built the surface of this oil painting with thick, textured impasto strokes, letting vibrant yellows and soft pinks break through the deep cosmic blues and muted purples. The sharp, angled strokes cutting across the center evoke a sense of velocity and atmospheric distortion, as if viewing a distant celestial phenomenon from the edge of an unknown galaxy.”
