With MBA in Abstract Thinking, a 9×12 inch oil on paper painting, I wanted to explore the playful irony of applying rigid intellectual structure to fluid, non-linear creativity. Through this painting, I sought to capture the dynamic friction between strategic order and intuitive expression, utilizing horizontal palette knife sweeps, rich impasto layering, and a vibrant green-dominant palette.
Created as an original oil on paper painting measuring 9×12 inches, the piece features stacked horizontal registers of vivid forest green, emerald, and warm chartreuse yellows, offset by pale mint-white planes and anchored by a dark, etched charcoal base with vertical line incisions. I applied broad palette knife drags and precise edge-scraping techniques to give the oil medium a tactile, layered complexity that speaks to landscape, logic, and creative ambition.
