Portrait of Something investigates the weight of identity and the spaces we occupy. By stripping away conventional portraiture markers, the work relies entirely on chromatic intensity and textural friction. The thick, tactile layers of red and black act as an emotional armature, holding open a fragile window of pale light and atmospheric blue. It is less a depiction of a subject than an echo of one—a record of a presence just stepping out of view.
