Window Shopping explores the moments in life when we stand on the outside looking in. Whether it’s a dream, an opportunity, a memory, or a different version of ourselves, we’ve all experienced the feeling of seeing something just beyond our reach and wondering what it would be like to step through the glass.
I painted this piece with a palette knife, building thick layers of oil paint that create both depth and mystery. The bold geometric forms suggest windows, doorways, and glimpses into imagined spaces, while the vibrant reds, yellows, and blues shift between warmth and curiosity. I wanted the composition to feel like a series of fleeting reflections—never revealing the whole picture, only inviting the viewer to imagine what lies beyond.
Rather than depicting a physical storefront, this painting is about the windows we encounter throughout our lives. Sometimes they represent possibilities we pursue, and other times they remind us of paths we chose not to take.
