With Wandering Echoes, I wanted to capture the lingering resonance of memory and the way past moments reverberate through our current state of mind. Working with oil on a 9″x12″ canvas panel, I built up a complex surface of layered textures, letting soft pinks, deep browns, and bright aquatic blues weave together beneath a striking network of luminous yellow strokes.
The composition relies on fragmented marks and scraped applications that mimic soundwaves or fading reflections traveling across a surface. Each bold impasto gesture acts like a transient trace, inviting the viewer to pause and listen to the visual resonance of a memory taking shape.
