With Pink Passion, I wanted to explore the deep emotional resonance of intense color, focusing on the striking contrast between a rich, royal purple field and a glowing core of layered pinks.
The composition centers around a bold, framed block of soft rose and vivid magenta brushstrokes, sliced horizontally by clean, luminous strokes of thick white paint. Working in oil on board, the rigid support allows for smooth, deliberate layers and heavy impasto accents that give the central form a tangible, dimensional weight against the textured background.
