With Welcome to the Jungle, I wanted to capture the dense, untamed energy of an overgrown wilderness, where vibrant light filters through heavy canopies and unexpected colors collide.
The composition is anchored by deep, shadowy greens and a commanding diagonal slash of rich royal blue and black across the upper right, contrasting sharply against fields of luminous yellow on the left and lower right. Thick impasto builds a dense, textured topography across the woven canvas, giving the heavy paint application a tangible, physical weight.
