With Dream Excavation, I wanted to explore the process of unearthing memories and fragments of the subconscious, as if digging down through layers of sleep to find what lingers beneath.
The composition is divided by a tranquil expanse of soft mint green and pale white above, transitioning into deep ocean blues and icy turquoise below.悬unging down vertically through the center are three striking, textured strokes of rich red, acting like structural markers or cores pulled straight from the depths of a dreamscape.
Working in oil on canvas, the woven fabric grips the thick impasto application, giving the surface a tactile, dimensional weight. Dream Excavation is about patience, exploration, and the raw artifacts we discover when we look deep into our inner worlds.
